Product Description
Dell EMC Unity 400 is a hybrid flash unified storage array, specifically designed for mid-range workloads and suitable for branch offices or resource-limited environments. It adopts a 2U rack-mounted architecture, providing 25 2.5-inch SAS/ flash hard disk bays, with a maximum supported capacity of 4 PB. The hardware configuration includes dual Intel Xeon E5-2630 processors and 96 GB of memory, supports 12 Gb SAS interface, and integrates unified management software (Unisphere) with snapshot, compression and copy functions.
Unity 400F is an all-flash version, featuring an all-flash design that offers higher performance and lower latency, making it suitable for high-performance computing or database applications. It inherits the hardware architecture of the hybrid version, but uses flash drives instead of SAS hard drives, optimizing data services such as in-line compression and intelligent wear balancing.
All models in this series support virtualization and converged deployment options.
