The ONTAP storage software package offers advanced software functions such as leading data management, storage efficiency, and data protection • Efficiency: NetApp FlexVol® features online and post-processing deduplication, online and post-processing data compression, data reduction, and streamlined configuration for configuring SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols • Dual-active storage: Supports NAS, SAN, and S3 dual-active functions, with a maximum dual-active distance of 700 kilometers. Large-scale single namespace management with local and remote caching, and long-distance read and write performance improved by multi-site replica caching • Multi-protocol interoperability: Supports dual-protocol interoperability between NAS and S3 for the same data • Cloning: Supports virtual cloning functions for files, luns, and volumes.
